You will need;

700ml of milk (any milk of preference) 2 eggs 2 tablespoons flour 90g sugar 3 sachets of vanilla sugar ( can use vanilla essence if prefered)

My Milk comes fom dia, Eggs,Flour, Sugar and vanilla sugar all come from lidl in this case)

Method - Heat your milk of choice untill at almost boiling point.

- While you are heating you milk in a bowl place 1st the sugar then the flour mixing through, then the vanilla sachets. Mixing again

- Then add the eggs 1 at a time mixing through before adding the second egg

-Keep wisking the mixture for around 1-2 mins untill the sugar is starting to dissolve. (should look like photo below)

- Remove Milk from the heat and turn the heat down to low/medium

- Then slowly add your egg and suagr mix to the hot milk make sure to keep wisking to mix throughly and avoid clumping.

- Put the pan back on the hob heating gently for 5 to 10 minutes. - Make sure you are stiring at all times till the custard is of your prefered thickness.

- Take off heat and serve hot with cake e.g see lemon drizzle recipe (like I did in photos below)

or let cool and serve with fruit, biscuits or in a trifle.
