La nucia and polop markets Part 2

So this morning 29th November we took a walk down to firstly la nucias local market then on to polop, the storms from the other day and yesterday's damp cloudy dark day have finally past. However there is a noticeable cooler drop in temperature. The coat and scarf has been dug out and hat was taken although not worn.

Due to the time approximately 9am the market was still pretty quiet, all people where wearing masks, sanitiser available and even spotted a local friendly la nucia police man walking though. Chatting away to the locals as he went.

We started in la nucia after a lovely stroll down at the rastro second hand side, here you can get anything from glasswear, to hiking boots even paintings. There was high evidence of Christmas trees 🎄 and other decoration items as well as plants available.

Then as we walked towards the polop rastro still in la nucia one you move on to the clothing section, where you could find PJ's for adults and kids, warm clothing and some great outfits for Christmas presents.

Before moving on to my favourite section the food baking, little cafes and the wonderful local produce available, there is something wonderful about the colours of fresh fruit and vegetables on a market stall.

We passed over to polop (roundabout photo) then entered polop rastro this one is mostly second hand good, it was then approximately 10.30am and the scalf had come off as the sun was finally starting to warm out bones.

At polop rastro if you have time and patience and a good eye for a bargain there is amazing second hand goods, such as clothing, boots, shoes toys.

Once we had finished shopping we heading up the hill home with the beautiful mountain surrounding us and the sun beating down.

Then it was home for brunch using our local produce, tomatoes mixed with olive oil and salt topped with baby cabbage all from the la nucia fresh produce section of the markets, topped with turkey and washed down with green mint tea.

Happy Sunday all 😊😊😊
